Story

We really admire Chris, Mark, and Hannah for their running efforts but Matt, Becky and Ann are much happier walking with Andy setting the pace on his scooter. We are pledging to walk/scoot 40 miles towards the MNDA’s target of 5,000 miles. The charity’s funding has been significantly affected by Covid-19 but they have continued to provide support during this difficult and uncertain time for MND sufferers and their families. The MNDA are a fantastic support to us as a family. Following dad's diagnosis they’ve provided us with so much comprehensive information about Motor Neurone Disease. They have paid for software which has allowed dad to record his voice. They have provided clear guidance for MND sufferers and their families during Covid-19. That’s why we want to step out and do our bit because we know MNDA will be with us every step of dad’s journey.

Updates

We did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13th October 2020
It took us 5 walks around Ryton Pools to complete 42.6 miles in total! The weather has been against us the last few weeks, it's alright for the 3 of us that were walking as that kept us warm but dad had to wrap up well going round on his scooter. We are really grateful for the support and donations we have received. It's not too late to make a donation if you would like to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the invaluable work they do.

We're off to a good start

14th September 2020
First walk completed! Between us we did 9.16 miles in glorious sunshine at Ryton Pools, plus we had Chris, Hannah and Buzz join us which was lovely. Chris and Hannah then went on to do their MNDA Mission 5000 runs, while we went home for a sit down!
